Lindsay Cogan

Strategic Projects & Policy Advisor

Lindsay is a passionate and enthusiastic policy professional who cares deeply about bridging academic understandings of policy with applied, real-world impact. Originally from Winnipeg and now based in Toronto, she brings curiosity, care, and a research-driven approach to the way she works.

While Lindsay is non-partisan, she is strongly committed to helping ensure that environmental policy and climate governance are priorities across the political spectrum. She believes that effective climate and conservation leadership can reflect a wide range of values — from stewardship and prosperity to local knowledge and private-sector innovation — and should be shaped by those closest to the land.

Her experience spans multiple parts of the policy process. Lindsay has worked as a Policy Analyst for Canada’s Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism and in a Member of Parliament’s office. She also served as a researcher for Transport Canada, looking at crude-by-rail regulation and liability schemes. In addition, she brings experience from another public affairs firm, supporting a range of policy and communications projects.

Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University and an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge. Her academic research focused on Canada’s role in the global energy transition, partisan narratives around climate policy, and Canadian public opinion on environmental issues.

In her free time, you can probably catch Lindsay with her nose in a book, wandering around a vintage store, or enjoying a coffee in a local café.
